It was high up at Wartburg Castle, one of Germany's most impressive and best known castles, that Martin Luther translated the New Testament.
The castle site, the main Fortress, the Luther room and the castle museum can all be visited. Wartburg Castle is a listed UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
