Füchtingshof

The Füchtingshof is a welfare housing estate founded in 1639 by the Lübeck town councilor and mariner Johann Füchting for widows of seamen and merchants. Many more "Stiftshöfe" (welfare housing estates) were provided by rich merchants as homes for widows and orphans.
