St. James's Church

St. James Church (Photo: T. Krueger)

The three-nave brick church of boatmen and seafarers was built in 1334, and was consecrated together with St. Mary's and St. Peter's. St. James's Church was largely spared during the bombing raids in World War II as well. There is an ensemble of three-story brick gutter houses, built in 1601, in front of St. James's Church, which used to be the residence of pastors and preachers of St. James.
