Guided tours of the Old Town

Walking tours of the Old City start at the historic Town Hall, meander through the arcades of the Prinzipalmarkt (Principal Market) to the Lamberti Church, and explore the "Baroque Island." The highpoint: A guided tour through St. Paul's Cathedral.

The two-hour walking tours of the Old City start at the historic Town Hall, with its high Gothic gable. It is particularly charming to meander through the arcades of the Prinzipalmarkt (Principal Market) to the Lamberti Church with the Täuferkäfigen (Baptist cages). Then follow the exterior of the Erbdrostenhof and the St. Clemens Church, two extremely interesting Baroque buildings. The highpoint: A guided tour through St. Paul's Cathedral, where at 12 noon visitors can watch the three kings move along the old astronomic clock. (Tours through the church are not possible on Sundays and holidays due to Mass).
