St. Peter's Cathedral is the masterpiece of Gothic architecture in Bavaria.
Most impressive are the gloriously colored stained-glass windows from the 13th and 14th centuries. The Cloisters, once the burial place of Regensburg citizens and Cathedral canons, are a magnificent example of Gothic rib-vaulting from the 15th century. The All Saints' Chapel, erected in the middle of the 12th century by Northern Italian builders, is reminiscent of Ravenna.
