Ways to Trier

By plane
Trier is located 47 km (30 miles) from Luxembourg Airport. You can reach Trier in 30 minutes by car. There is the Airport-Liner bus service, which brings you from the airport directly to Trier to your hotel- and back. 

Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, is only 45 minutes by car to Trier. A direct shuttle bus takes you from Hahn Airport directly to the main ralway station Trier and back.

Frankfurt/Main Airport  is 189 km (118 miles) from Trier and it takes you about 2 hours by car of 3 hours by rail. IC trains leaving every hour via Koblenz.

Köln/Bonn Airport. Distance about 2 hours by car or 3 hours by rail. IC trains leaving every hour via Koblenz.

Saarbrücken Airport, distance about 1 hour by car or rail.

Trier enjoys outstanding connections to the Autobahn networks of Germany and neighboring countries, as well as the European rail system. Those who prefer to travel at a more leisurely pace can arrive by cruise ship on Mosel and Saar.
