Franconian Wine Country

The tour leads along the river Main through picturesque villages (Eibelstadt, Sommerhausen, Ochsenfurt, Frickenhausen, Suizfeld, Dettelbach) whose medieval fortifications are still existing, to Münsterschwarzach abbey and Volkach, the center of the Franconian Wine Country.

In Volkach you can enjoy the following: visit of the pilgrimage church Maria im Weingarten (famous Rosenkranzmadonna by Tilman Riemenschneider), wine tastings at the Schelfenhaus or a guided tour through a winery including wine tastings.
