Hidden treasures of the Rhon

Drive north from Würzburg to the famous spa Bad Kissingen (spa buildings by Balthasar Neumann). Continue through Aschach (Renaissance castle with museum) to the Franciscan monastery Kreuzberg (place of pilgrimage with own brewery).

 
Drive to Ostheim vor der Rhön (largest integrated church-and-castle structures in one in Germany), continue through Irmelshausen (picturesque Renaissance castle, surrounded by water) to Bad Künigshofen. Visit of the market square and Gothic church. Continue to Minnerstadt (well-conserved medieval town, Riemenschneider-altar). Return to Würzburg.
