Wiesbaden lies in the heart of Germany and in the center of Europe. All travel routes cross here, making the city easy to reach.
by car:
Wiesbaden is linked to eight motorways (autobahns or "A" roads) and seven "B" roads. From the north, Wiesbaden can be reached via A3 and A,5 for example, from the east via A3/A66, from the south via A5 or A67/A63 and from the west via A60.
Many multilane access roads from this excellent traffic network and urban motorways lead into the heart of the city.
by train:
Numerous German Rail routes lead to or from the city, which is the Hessian state capital. Wiesbaden has been linked to the European high-speed rail network since 2002. ICE-3 type trains travelling at speeds of up to nearly 200 miles per hous link the Rhine-Main Region to the other regions in Germany.
by plane:
Wiesbaden can easily be reached from the four points of the compass and from all over Europe. The Rhine-Main (Frankfurt International) Airport, Germany's largest and the second-largest in Europe, lies only 20 miles away. Passengers do not have to leave the terminal to catch local trains, lines S8 and S9, or several regional trains that regularly provide direct connections to Wiesbaden.
